Blobble's Adventure

When Blob Island's most treasured jewel, the Crystal of Power, is stolen by the evil Lord Globble, it's up to the heroic Blobble to get it back! Race through five unique levels, each with their own obstacles, to reclaim the crystal and defeat Lord Globble once and for all!

This was my first attempt at a side-scrolling 2D platformer. The scrolling was actually one of the first major challenges I faced when developing this game as I had to figure out how to stop the screen from scrolling when at the start, end, top and bottom of each level. A notable feature of this game is how each level has its own unique hazards and gimmicks. For example, the third level has large icicles that fall a few seconds after the player steps on them and the fourth level has low gravity and pink stars to bounce off. In addition, the game also features several unlockables tied to various objectives, such as beating the game with a high enough score. These unlockables include a level select, art gallery and "mirror mode", which allows the player to play through the entire game flipped horizontally.
